New engines and trim for 159

Alfa Romeo 159 Series 2 is now available to order. There is a new range structure and most importantly, the introduction of three new engines that will significantly enhance the Alfa Romeo 159 range.

New Engines
The first of these units is a brand new turbocharged 1.8 litre petrol engine, developing 200bhp with 320 Nm of torque. This torque figure is comparable with much bigger engines and results in much improved flexibility over the 2.2 JTS unit. The Co2 emissions are vastly improved at 189 g/km, bringing the car down 6 bands in terms of BIK taxation levels and an additional benefit of significantly improved fuel consumption compared to the 2.2 JTS.
The second new engine is a 2 litre diesel unit, with 170bhp and 360 Nm of torque. This engine is an evolution of the current well-acclaimed 1.9 JTDm 150bhp version, which will continue alongside this new variant. As with the petrol engine, there are improvements in the Co2 emissions levels at 142
g/km, bringing the car down 2 BIK taxation bands when compared to the 1.9 JTDm 150bhp.
The entry level versions, equipped with 1.8 petrol engines on Series 1 have been deleted from the
range and replaced with a new 1.9 JTDm ECO diesel engine with 120bhp. The emissions on this unit are lower than the 150bhp unit at 138 g/km of Co2, enabling Alfa Romeo to offer a more competitive entry level model for the fleet market.





























New Trim Levels
The Turismo and new Elegante trim levels form the basis Series 2 Alfa 159 range structure.
There are 3 further trim levels, Sport, Lusso and TI versions.

Turismo
The Turismo trim continues as the entry level version, starting from £19,950 OTR and the main standard equipment is as follows;-
• Alfa code immobiliser and alarm system
• Leather steering wheel and gear knob with remote audio controls
• 16” Alloy wheels with 205/55 R16 tyres
• Dual zone automatic climate control NEW
• Cruise control NEW
• Flocked fabric cloth NEW

Turismo Sport
A Sport Pack trim option is available on Turismo versions at an additional cost of £800.00 incl. VAT and contains the following additional specification:
• Sports dials
• Dark aluminium trim inserts
• Black interior
• Chrome exhaust pipe
• Sports steering wheel with black stitching
• Blue & Me
• 17” Sport double spoke alloys
This version represents excellent value for money and in diesel form.

Elegante NEW
This new trim level, starting from £21,450 OTR for the 2.2 JTS Elegante, has been introduced to offer a high level of standard equipment at a very competitive price. This is an equivalently specified trim to the BMW 3 Series, SE trim level, or Audi A4 SE. In addition to the standard equipment as provided on the Turismo version, the Elegante benefits from the following specification;-
• Rear parking sensors
• Visibility pack
• Blue&Me™
• Alfatex upholstery
• Radio CD with MP3 player
• 17” spoke design alloy wheels with 225/50 R17 tyres NEW

Lusso
The Lusso trim level is based on the Elegante version and is orderable via a trim option pack at £1,100.00 incl. VAT, containing the following additional equipment:-
• Leather Upholstery
• Tri-zone automatic climate control
• Electrically folding wing mirrors

TI
The TI version is now also managed as a Pack (5TG) based on Elegante versions at a cost of £2,200.00 incl. VAT. The equipment remains unchanged from TI versions offered in the Series 1. The price walk from a Lusso to a Ti version is only £1,100.
